Duties:
• Currently overseeing the IEEE 1547 Master Level Distributed Energy Resources CCE, Nuclear Equipment Qualification, Phasor Management Unit, and the 1952 Positioning Navigation and Timing Certification Programs including the development, growth, and health of the program.
• Acts as a subject matter expert for our IEEE CertifiAIEd program including passing the certificate course and in process of becoming a certified assessor.
• Since joining IEEE; the IEEE 1547 DER Certification Program has been launched with 30+ individuals certified, the Nuclear Equipment Qualification Program has grown by 25% and has set up numerous international agreements for growth, set up the 1952 Positing Navigating and Timing Steering Committee, and identified a new testing laboratory for our Phasor Management Unit Certification Program.
• Responsible for the acquiring and day to day operations of all consultants, administrative staff, and assets responsible with the ICAP Program.
• Closely works with other nonprofit organizations such as DOE, DHS, NARUC, FERC, EPRI, DHS, and relevant state agencies to determine, build, and advance standards and conformance programs that support their missions.
• Knowledge of global grid advancements surrounding the IEEE 1547 and 2800 standards.
• Skilled researcher and developer of concise business plans for relevant products and services.
• Rapidly learns new technologies, and supervise development of relevant test plans, test tools and laboratory audit requirements.
• Prepared technical and procedural materials in support of program operations.
• Assessed, researched, and analyzed developing IEEE standards for potential conformity, interoperability, certification opportunities.
• Prepared business plans and conduct cost/benefit analysis including budgeting and accounting.
• Participated and provided expert guidance in standards meetings and other technical conferences for engagement and discussion with technical experts on potential conformity opportunities.
• Served as an advocate for IEEE conformity programs and support the role of conformity testing in technology implementation.
• Independently prepared general marketing plans to promote specific programs, whilst staying within allocated budgets for management review and approval.
• Creation of process management documents and processes to document and streamline internal IEEE operations.
• Using system processes started to develop a quality manual for the IEEE ICAP department and a Certification Management System to automate processes.
• Supported management and technical communications to IEEE SA staff and volunteer leadership.
